Abstract
This Honors Thesis documents the creative process of DIVINITY, a narrative-driven competition set of collegiate a cappella music performed by the University of Vermont’s competitive a cappella group, Viridescent. This project was made for live performance at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), and for studio recording at the University of Vermont. The Thesis takes form in four chronological sections: arrangement and preparation, competitive performance, studio recording and tracking, and the audio’s post-production and public release. DIVINITY will be released in the Fall of 2025 as an extended play (EP) to all music-streaming platforms, and as a music video to Viridescent's YouTube channel.
