Abstract
Investigators review research studies from across the US to compile a set of best practices, which outline how service-providers and food-distributors in the Greater Burlington area of Vermont can better address New Americans’ food needs. Researchers also compile a set of relevant food resources available around the Greater Burlington Area. Unlike existing food programming, these resources are specifically designed to highlight and address barriers specifically facing New Americans. Based on interviews with Chittenden County food-distributors and refugee case managers, investigators review these resources and discuss what program adjustments are necessary in order to improve New American food security.
