Abstract
Widespread electrification and localized power generation are placing increasing demands on the electric distribution grid. To maximize the utility of the existing network, distribution system operators are implementing real-time solutions such as dynamic hosting capacity and DER coordination. These algorithms, however, require real-time validated network models. This research proposes and implements a pipeline to build validated distribution network models through three stages: (1) Ingest GIS data, measurement data, and a baseline network model, (2) Identify problematic network parameters from measurement residuals, (3) Estimate new values for problematic parameters that better match measurements.
