Abstract
The purpose of this research is to explore the distribution of floor zone percentages for the University of Vermont women’s basketball team. Over the course of 16 conference games in the 2019 season, I have plotted every field goal taken, and displayed them all according to 18 predetermined zones, which are organized by distance and angle to the basket. In reviewing the data, I look for fluctuations in distributions of opposite sides of the court as well as varying kinds of shots. The ultimate goal of the process is to determine not only where individual players are scoring the most points, but also where the team shoots the most accurately.
