Abstract
This project is farm homestay internship, research meetings, information collection and relationship building. This project is both a capstone of the past 7 years’ efforts, as well as the linchpin in moving to the next step. My goal is to restore farm culture in the U.S. to create an environment that will allow for a restructuring of policy to support small scale agricultural and avert the food instability national threat we are perpetually moving towards. Japan adopted U.S.’s dairy system during the post - World War II period, but unlike the U.S. appears to have kept small dairy farms viable, and maintained farm-conscious culture which makes comparing the two systems ideal.
