Abstract
This infographic outlines next generation sequencing methods, new technologies that allow for the fast sequencing of people’s entire genomes. It explains a study which showed the effectiveness of one NGS technology compared to standard sequencing techniques. It shows how the quick and efficient sequencing of a person’s genome can allow for medical care to be personalized to their genetic makeup and detect genetic predispositions to disease.
