Abstract
We are comparing the validity and reliability of the TekScan F-scan64 system, a pressure mapping insole, in its ability to capture measurements in balance and postural sway compared to an AMTI force plate, the current gold standard for obtaining objective measurements of balance and postural sway. Subjects performed eight separate static balance conditions while concurrent data were recorded by both systems. The study aims to determine if the F-scan64 system provides enough accuracy with its measurements in order for the system to be used for both research and clinical use.
