Abstract
Patients often receive immediate lab results via MyChart before their providers have a chance to look at them. This can cause unnecessary anxiety, and in some cases prompts MyChart messages or phone calls to the clinic regarding the results. The purpose of this project was to create dot phrases that explain basic lab values, including normal ranges and "worry ranges" in simple, unambiguous language. The dot phrases were made available to clinicians at the S. Burlington Family Medicine clinic.
