Abstract
A brief overview of three heritable genetic disorders (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome/BOAS, Hip Dysplasia, and Patellar Luxation) commonly found in purebred dogs. Explains the symptoms of each condition, as well as short term solutions. Concludes with data on the efficiency of genetic screening in reducing the presence of these disorders.
