Combining AlphaFold and Sparse Experimental Data to Study Protein Dynamics

Abstract
Highly dynamic proteins, such as intrinsically disordered proteins, adopt ensembles of structures that cannot be resolved by conventional high-resolution structural biology techniques. This talk will describe how low-resolution methods, such as NMR-PRE and FRET, can be integrated with AI-based structure prediction and Bayesian inference. Using the disordered protein Tau, which plays a key role in neurological disorders, this approach identifies regions that are either accessible or inaccessible to solvent.�
