Abstract
This management plan for UVM Natural Area Shelburne Pond describes the area, its history, and future planning objectives in the context of the wider program. The H. Laurence Achilles Natural Area at Shelburne Pond is a 1,000-acre site located in Shelburne, Vermont, approximately eight miles from the University of Vermont (UVM) campus. Established as part of the UVM Natural Areas System in 1974, it protects one of the largest remaining undeveloped ponds in the Champlain Valley.
