Abstract
As global trash pollution worsens, more and more ends up in our streams leaving communities flooded with litter. Being able to model the transport of this trash is critical to understand the impact which it will have on the environment and people. My project used an EmRiver stream table to model how trash is transported down streams. 3D printed shopping carts and tires of three different sizes were ran down modeled streams at different flow rates and the transport of each item was measured. Less porous, smaller items moved further than larger porous items.
