Abstract
During the summer of 2024, I worked remotely as a paralegal intern with the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project. My days with the organization were filled with writing op-eds and letters to senators, translating identity documents to be attached to I589s (the USCIS application for asylum), creating infographics to compile important information, and running VAAP’s social media platforms. Learning new terminology, laws, technological skills, and foreign language skills, I worked with lawyers, paralegals, and other interns in the realm of low-income legal services.
