Abstract
This thesis contributes to the literature regarding a buyer’s willingness to purchase a product and a company’s political affiliation. In a simulated purchasing environment, buyers were asked to rate various winter coats with differing levels of attributes. By using campaign contributions as a proxy for a corporation’s political affiliation, this thesis seeks to contribute to the research related to the effect of political activity in both the market and nonmarket realms.
