Abstract
Manufactured Housing Communities (MHCs) are a crucial part of Vermont�s housing sector, with the state being home to 238 mobile home parks. With manufactured housing being a predominantly low-income housing sector, MHCs and residents experience financial insecurity, depreciation, housing instability due to ownership transitions, and vulnerability to weather-related events. The Manufactured Home Improvement and Repair Program is a Vermont state funded program that provides funding for home repairs, foundation improvements, and park infrastructure improvements. This poster presents findings from a community-engaged research approach. The MHIR program was assessed through program participant demographic data and surveys aimed at understanding participant program experience. Additionally, qualitative interviews were conducted with MHIR participants to further assess the program. The findings of this qualitative research led to the identification of potential improvements to the MHIR program as well as policy recommendations related to MHCs.
