Abstract
Little consensus exists in the literature regarding methods for determination of respiratory rate using wireless methods. Developing such technology is needed due to the skin damage the constant contact some sensors cause. In this paper, I will discuss a new processing method to capture the respiratory rate of a person in from a radar data set wirelessly. We tried to utilize an ultra-sonic sensor to capture the chest movement of a person while breathing and determine the respiratory rate according to that movement. After applying our technique, we were able detect the breathing pattern for multiple samples with a high accuracy along 60s of sampling.
