Abstract
My honors thesis seeks to offer a holistic picture of the power of agroecology as a tool for food sovereignty. A film produced through community-partnered shoots and interviews will showcase the food movement as it exists in Vermont in practices like land-tenure, seed-saving, knowledge-sharing, and mutual aid economics. A supplemental paper will beg the question of how documentary can be used as a method of critical participatory action research. The project as a whole presents an opportunity to bring together members of the food system community through the creation and sharing of this film and catapult their efforts past the state’s borders
