Abstract
Patient throughout Washington County continue to experience difficulty accessing mental health care. Barriers to mental health care include lack of transportation, education, provider availability, costs, and long wait times. Compounding on these existing barriers, CVCM closed inpatient psychiatry and many local psychiatrists have moved out of the area in recent years leading to an even greater deficit in available providers. Mental health is directly correlated to physical health and wellbeing. This project aims to address some of these barriers by providing a comprehensive handout with a variety of local and online mental health resources with the hopes of improving access for patients in and around Washington County.
