Abstract
This master’s project explores the impact of integrating indigenous methodologies, ecological insights, and spiritual practices into leadership frameworks. Focusing on my involvement in two community-based rites of passage programs, the study engages with how pathways of personal growth, spiritual development, community engagement, and the transfer of natural and cultural knowledge contribute to sustainable leadership and self-emergence. Through participant observation, community feedback, Ifa divinations, and personal reflections, this project examines how leadership characterized by empathy, collaboration, cohesiveness, and love can foster community resilience, promote environmental well-being, and actively challenge oppressive systems.
