Abstract
Pollinator Friendly Solar installations are gaining popularity with the growing importance of switching to more renewable types of energy. Over the summer and through the fall I worked in Taylor Ricketts Lab as a research assistant for various projects on pollinators. To learn how to better assist native pollinators such as bees, we must study their physical interactions, how efficient the pollination is, what plant species they are attracted to, and where certain species can be found. I participated in projects which included the analysis of blueberry pollination near a solar facility and pollinator abundance at solar sites/ farms.
