Abstract
Anthropogenic debris is common in urban streams and has the potential to influence water quality, recreational use, geomorphology, and ecosystem of streams. This study aims to understand the role of anthropogenic debris in the erosion and deposition of sediment in streams. At West Creek, near Cleveland, Ohio, we have 4 sites along the river. Since 2023, we have visited these sites 4 times and collected x, y, z data using total survey stations. During this study, we observed the movement of a concrete pipe and one shopping cart. Elevation data from our surveys reveal increased erosion and deposition near debris.
