Abstract
This project identifies factors correlated with re-entry into the SSVF program, with re-entry serving as a surrogate measure of recurrent housing instability or return to homelessness. This information can be used to develop interventions aimed at promoting greater long-term housing stability in these demographics, which underlies SSVF’s overall mission of ending veteran homelessness. As veteran homelessness initiatives move to a coordinated entry system in Vermont under the Vermont Balance of State Coordination of Care Organization, screening and referral processes for clients will continue to be refined, making this an opportune time to identify factors that help service providers match clients with the most appropriate interventions.
