Abstract
Mythological narratives are common themes on painted pottery in the ancient world. This poster compares the narrative structure, layout, and composition of mythological subjects on ancient Mayan and Greek pottery. The goal is to examine the values and fundamental principles of their cultures through art. Additionally, art reflects the society that creates them, therefore, we can draw a relationship between the imagery on pottery and the values of their society.
