Abstract
The poster will explore two different localization techniques for determining a device's spatial position and orientation. The first approach locates a harmonic transponder by analyzing the phase shift of its backscattered signal. A harmonic transponder is a passive wireless device that receives an interrogation signal at one frequency (f) and re-radiates a signal at a different frequency (2f). The second approach studies the phase shifts of ambient cellular signals to calculate a receiver's position. This is an application of ISAC (integrated sensing and communication), a technology that merges wireless communication with radar-like sensing capabilities into a single system.
