Abstract
The State of Vermont has one of the lowest rates of childhood obesity in the country. While this statistic is encouraging, it does not make our communities immune. Many Vermonters struggle with obesity and its related illnesses, especially in rural, low-income areas of the state where the ability to afford fresh produce can be challenging. To keep the rate of childhood obesity low in Vermont, children should be encouraged to establish healthy habits as early as possible. The goal of this project is to provide parents with effective and feasible ways to help their children develop healthy eating habits and stay active.
