Abstract
The REU portion of the Salt Mitigation Task Force is focused on analyzing water quality parameters from five stormwater ponds located on University of Vermont's campus. These water quality parameters include pH, conductivity, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen to determine the health of these stormwater ponds in response to the road salt use on campus. The overall goal is to evaluate trends to encourage a decrease in road salt use on campus in regards to environmental impacts.
