Abstract
Following in the wake of a summer spent researching existing graphic novel adaptations of Shakespearean plays and the ways creators have reworked the Bard’s text and then crafting cartoon vignettes of isolated soliloquies, this creative thesis project seeks to begin a graphic novel adaptation of Macbeth. More importantly, however, it attempts to explore, refine, and document the process of such an undertaking. Prepare to experience Shakespeare like never before as Macbeth is thrown into a dark science fiction setting and recast in a fresh new medium.
