Abstract
In my thesis, I plan to write both literary analyses and fictional pieces. I endeavor to find a more well-rounded definition of magical realism by looking at how magical realism interacts with a place. Ultimately, I will write critical pieces on one magical realist novel and three original creative fictional short stories to create a better understanding of magical realism in the genre of regionalist literature.
