Abstract
This capstone project outlines my journey in understanding the multitudinous ways in which shame perpetuates systems of white supremacy. I look internally at dismantling these systems within myself while simultaneously using my work as an educator to challenge these structures within the contexts of my classroom and in communication with my colleagues. I develop a personal theory of change that outlines the ways in which I build relationships across difference through empathy and love.
