Abstract

Biofilm formation on technical surfaces, including membrane filters, medical devices, is known to cause economical losses and performance failures. Knowledge of biofilm composition, biofouling processes and operational conditions is to understand and control biofilm formation. In this study, we applied enhanced darkfield hyperspectral microscope (ED-HSI) to assess biofouling on glass surface. The quantitative analysis were performed with two-cascaded principal component (PCA) analysis and spectral angle mapper (SAM).
