Employee Wellbeing Program for University and Hospital Employees: A Feasibility Study
Conference Year
January 2022
Abstract
Little research exists about the effectiveness of online group health and wellness coaching in employee wellbeing programming. Researchers evaluated the effectiveness and feasibility of a university and hospital employee 12-week wellbeing program focusing on group health and wellness coaching. Outcome measures included PSS-4, PROMIS-10, and satisfaction. Perceived physical and mental health improved while reports of stress decreased. When asked how beneficial the program was for helping achieve health goals, 56% said very and 44% said somewhat. 94% would recommend the program to a peer. Preliminary results demonstrate online group health and wellness coaching may be an effective employee wellbeing intervention.
