Investigations Into Copper-Mediated Photocatalytic Hydroarsination
Conference Year
2023
Abstract
Hydroarsination is an understudied reaction that can be utilized to synthetically produce products used in agriculture, medicine, and other fields. The reactivity of copper(II) acetylacetonate, Cu(acac)2, towards photocatalytic hydroarsination is explored through reactions with various substrates and product conversion monitored by NMR. Generation of a substrate scope for copper-mediated photocatalytic hydroarsination will allow for a deeper understanding that would allow for the development of more efficient systems. The chemical transformations studied will lead to the development of useful arsenic-containing products in an energy-efficient manner while simultaneously reducing chemical waste.
