Smart Resilient Landscapes: Leveraging AI, Sensors, and Games to Nudge Sustainable Behaviors at the Nexus of Climate, Food, and Water Interactions
Conference Year
January 2023
Abstract
AI technologies can play a significant role in agricultural production and environmental sustainability. They can provide real-time data on various aspects of farming, including soil quality, yields, and GHGs, to help farmers make evidence-based decisions, during extreme weather conditions. However, the success of AI technologies adoption in agriculture depends on maintaining privacy and data ownership to support decision-making. This research examines the risks and benefits of deploying AI and sensor data technology to encourage sustainable farming practices and create resilient landscapes in the face of climate change. It also explores the attributes of AI technologies that farmers find desirable.
