Abstract

This project aims to simplify and automate the management of transportation assets and maintenance operations using IoT technologies, specifically RFID. RFID tags, containing asset data, are read by stationary or handheld readers. The system aims to automate the process of reading tags from multiple readers, retrieve the corresponding assets' data from a database using REST API and display it through an easy-to-use graphical user interface. Furthermore, the project intends to allow users to add or modify asset data using the same GUI. Ultimately, this solution can improve transportation asset management by reducing manual labor, increasing efficiency, and minimizing errors.
