This quality improvement capstone explores Mansfield Hall staff training to improve neurodivergent young adult outcomes in independent activities of daily living. 82.3% of staff use personal experience or received no training in how to teach cleaning skills to neurodivergent young adults. 5 trainings were created and guided by a needs survey and the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) model. The CO-OP model is a verbal task oriented problem solving approach that improves occupational performance. Staff completed pre and post surveys before the training then 4 weeks after the training.
