Abstract
This chapter explores what happens to the archive of a college when it closes through the perspective of an institution that has acquired the records of two colleges, as well as partial documentation of a third college and the records of two K–12 schools. Transferring a college archive is often done in conjunction with the transfer of other special collections from a college library, so we also discuss some of the issues related to transferring these other unique library materials to another institution.
