Abstract
The following report offers an overview of affirmative consent policies in the United States. Specifically, this report researches affirmative consent at the federal, state, and university levels and examines academic and legal literature both supporting and critiquing enacted and proposed affirmative consent policies. This report was written for Vermont General Assembly Representative Selene Colburn to inform affirmative consent legislation in Vermont.
